Special Recognition to honor a special couple, Walter and Betty Schall, for the dedication and commitment the past seventeen years to assure the USS Collett Reunion was held each year. Walter is a Plank Owner on the USS Collett; he served onboard from 1944 to 1945 during World War II.

This Texas Flag was presented to Walter and Betty Schall by Irving Convention and Business Center was flown at the Capitol of Texas March 16, 2008 in honor of the 2008 Reunion.

This posthumous recognition is to honor the memory of Jack Palmer for his dedication and commitment to assure the continuation of USS Collett Reunions. Jack was a twenty-seven year Navy veteran spanning three wars - World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War.
